Miami Watch & Jewelry Exchange is located in the heart of Miami’s historic downtown jewelry district and specializes in the purchasing of Fine Modern and Vintage Timepieces, Clocks, Estate Jewelry and Diamonds. Our founder Jimmy Castro is a 3rd generation watch and jewelry expert, and a knowledgeable international source for buying your valuables.

Jimmy Castro has been active in the watch business since 2005 but interested in fine Swiss watches all his life as the son of one the finest watchmakers in the United States, Alfredo Castro and his jewelry store Tumi Watch Co. in business since 1980.  Jim’s paternal grandmother also owned jewelry stores in New York City in the 1970’s and later in Downtown Miami in the 1980’s.  Jim’s paternal grandfather has been a jeweler since the 1950s and only now near 90 years old has recently retired.  Jim also has a uncle who has been a high grade diamond setter since the 1970’s also located in Downtown Miami and another uncle who is a jeweler. Its safe to say the jewelry business is in our founders blood and soul.

The years working with his father and having been exposed daily to a vast collection of rare and unique modern and vintage watches in stock at his fathers store and the many other watches received for repair from collectors, dealers and the general public has given Jimmy an incredible insight and knowledge of not only what nearly every watch today is worth but also how watches work, what the cost and work involved to restore a fine watch and what makes certain watches high grade from the inside and out thus allowing him to pay the highest prices possible to attain a special timepiece. This perspective is uncommon amongst watch dealers today who mostly buy and sell what they know and they fear the unknown but the unknown has become Jim’s specialty!

Affectionately called Jimmy the buyer by some, his passion for horology has skyrocketed him quickly as one of the most knowledgeable in the watch business and also a discreet and decisive buyer that does not need “help” to make a important purchase.
